Historically, “cold cathode” refers to luminous tubing which is larger than 15mm in diameter and operates on a minimum current of 60 milliamps. This larger diameter tubing is often used for interior cove and accent lighting. EGL cold cathode tubing is coated using the same quality coating techniques as is used on our small diameter tubing. This tubing is available in eight-foot lengths, in 18, 20, and 25mm diameters.

Standard and “high output” whites, as well as some colors, are produced.
